Alex Clayton joined Meritech in 2020 and helps lead the firm’s enterprise software, infrastructure, and fintech practices. Before Meritech, he was a partner on Spark Capital’s Growth Fund focused primarily on enterprise software and infrastructure. His Spark investments included Braze, JFrog, Justworks, Outreach, Pendo, and Tray.io, and his earlier Redpoint work involved Duo Security, Justworks, RelateIQ, Lifesize, and Sourcegraph. He began his career in TMT investment banking at Goldman Sachs and holds a B.A. from Stanford.
