Firm Match

Tell us about your round. We'll rank the 90 firms in the catalog by how well they fit, with the reasoning behind every score.

Stage gets you a baseline ranking. Industries, traction, and your strength sharpen it.

How scoring worksShow

Every catalog firm scores 0–100 against your inputs: fit signals (90 pts, from what you tell us) plus bounded tie-breakers (10 pts, from observed selectivity + activity). Stage is the only required input — every other rule is skipped if you leave it blank. Tie-breakers are capped so they only spread ties between equally-fit firms, never out-rank an aligned one.

Fit signals

90 pts
  • 30 / 20
    Stage matchleads · invests

First filter. Firms that don't invest at your stage score 0 and drop out of results entirely. The split rewards firms that take the lead position over those who only follow.

  • 25 / 15
    Industry overlap2+ shared · 1 shared

How many of your selected industries appear in the firm's published focus areas. Labels are slugified before matching, so casing or punctuation can't break a hit. Skipped when industries are blank.

  • 15
    Check size fit

Your target sits inside the firm's typical range at your stage. Outside the range, the card surfaces a "too big" or "too small" gap with both ranges so you can decide whether to flex your ask. Skipped without a target, or if the firm has no published range at this stage.

  • 10
    ARR fit

Your revenue sits inside the firm's typical entry range at your stage. Zero is meaningful (pre-revenue), not a skip. Outside the range reads as "invests earlier" or "invests later" — often a useful pointer to the next stage to target.

  • 10 / 5
    Strongest dimensiondominant · secondary (≥25%)

The dimension you win on (Team / Market / Product / Metrics) matches the firm's highest-weighted evaluation area. Partial credit when your pick is their second-highest and still carries ≥25% weight — the floor stops a thinly-weighted runner-up earning credit just because of how the bottom three sort.

Tie-breakers

10 pts
  • +5 max
    Selectivity≥15% · ≥7% · ≥3%

Modelled hit-rate — roughly the share of pitches that get a check. Capped so an easy-to-reach mismatch can never out-rank an aligned firm; only spreads ties between firms otherwise equal on fit.

  • +5 max
    Activity8+ · 4+ · 1+

Rounds funded in the last 12 months. Observed deployment, not modelled odds — at equal fit, an active firm beats a quiet one.

Top 10 shown — first 3 as detail cards, next 7 as compact rows. Firms that don't invest at your stage drop out entirely.

Stage is the only required field. The other inputs sharpen the ranking but the page works without them.
