Joel Kellman is a co-founder of GGV Capital and previously co-founded Fenwick & West, where he spent nearly three decades as a partner. Fenwick's alumni interview says he became increasingly interested in investing while working with technology clients and later formed GGV Capital to invest in China and the U.S. TechCrunch reported that GGV co-founders Thomas Ng and Joel Kellman met Jack Ma in 1999, making them early investors around Alibaba's formative years.
